Ray is a guest in the house of a blind psychologist. He's there with the intent of stealing the man's wife, who he has been seeing for a while. It so happens that he gets into an argument with the psychologist about whether or not someone can be hypnotized against their will. Ray says it's impossible, but the psychologist proves his point with a demonstration... on Ray.

The last episode on mutual, "Symphony In D Minor" pays homage to the music that had been integral to the storytelling of the series throughout its run.

Agnes Kelby has suddenly disappeared from her home. On the surface, it appears only as a routine missing persons case. Friday and Romero find that Eric Kelby, Agnes's husband, is acting very suspicious.

This was the first episode of Season 2, although in fact The Shadow had been running nonstop for a full year. Bill Johnstone replaced Orson Welles as the voice of Lamont Cranston/The Shadow. Agnes Moorehead returned to the role of Margo Lane, having left the show during the 1938 "summer series".
