Since I'm doing a Shadow retrospective that features Orson Wells, I thought it would be fun to highlight his other radio work with two famous episodes: the "War Of The Worlds" broadcast and "The Hitchhiker". This works well as a double feature, as you will hear him hint at the infamous "War of the Worlds" broadcast before performing "The Hitchhiker". Of course, this is presented in enhanced audio. The episode, like the original story, follows the psychological unraveling of the protagonist as he becomes convinced that an invisible, supernatural entity known as the "Horla" is haunting him and draining his life force.
