Burnout is REAL! *The ultimate guide to refreshing and resetting after being in a rut(in particular academic BURNOUT)*
It is nice to be recording again after a break. In today's episode, I will be talking with you about Burnout!
Academic burnout can be defined as a negative emotional, physical, and mental reaction to a prolonged study that results in exhaustion, frustration, lack of motivation, and reduced ability in school.
It is the culmination of many weeks or months studying the same material or working on the same project, or from continuous years of schooling. This is not to be confused with the occasional feeling of frustration when you have been studying for hours on end, or tiredness from pulling an all-nighter. It is rather more of a condition from long-term study or schoolwork.
2 weeks ago I experienced burnout, and this was not the first time that I experienced burnout, but it was one of my more severe ones, it was so severe that my grades began to drop and that I got sick and unwell. Personally, I believe that as a student we will have at least one academic burnout, but it’s up to us how often we get and how we react to it in the first place.
