Doggy Dojo will soon become the Enlightened Pet Behavior Podcast!
I'll be back soon with some new episodes, but also a new name!! Nothing else is changing, except maybe we'll talk about more pets than just dogs (although Dogs will stay the main focus).
Make sure to follow so you don't miss the new episodes!
Dr. Lauren Vaughan is a veterinarian at Best Friends Animal Hospital in Valley Village. She’s been an animal lover since she was born, but has been practicing veterinary medicine since graduating from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Her mission is to help pet parents meet all of their dogs’ and cats’ mental, physical, and emotional needs without sacrificing their own. Recognizing that pet parents feel overwhelmed trying to figure out what information online is trustworthy (and stressed out trying to remember everything their vet says during a visit), Dr. Vaughan launched comprehensivecompanionship.com as a one stop shop of reliable pet parenting information. And together with her friend and colleague, Dr. Alexis Traylor, later created the @knows2tail instagram account for ongoing bite-sized bits of info. When she’s not in the clinic, or working on these projects, you can find her at home with her husband and two cats or thrift shopping.

Guest Bio:
My name is Sylvia Wes, I have been a certified dog trainer for 7 years. I am currently working as an early developmental and reactivity/ aggression specialist. While I am a certified professional dog trainer, the majority of my cases revolve around behavior consulting and modification.
I have been working with dogs in a professional capacity for over a decade. I got my start in the rescue sector, running a huge no kill center in DTLA with over 200 animals in our care. I forayed into pet care as a special needs and geriatric care specialist before diving into the world of dog training.
I am passionate about science based, positive reinforcement training. I currently hold two certification and am seeking a new certification in behavior consulting. I believe in the power of individual learning, radical consideration and choice based learning models to help propel your relationship with your dog to next level.
Let me help guide you into a new world of better communication, meeting your dog's needs and human animal bonding to last your dog's lifetime. Anything is possible with though the power of love, patience and science.
