Failed Aurora Glyph Hacking Challenge. Agents must meet a global challenge threshold of 36,000,000 combined Glyph points in order to stop Aurora. If the objective is met, items obtained by Glyph Hacking will increase by approximately 33%. As a recap, these Portal Episodes are designed to highlight an interesting Portal that either we've come across while playing the game, or that you the Listening Agents have come across during your time playing.

Details about how you can submit your Portal Episode to be possibly featured on ERP at the end of this episode so stay tuned. First... What constitutes an Interesting Portal? Well like most things it's inthe eye of the beholder.

However, in general, this is any Portal that sticks out in your mind as truly remarkable. Perhaps it's a work of art that left you speechless, a monument that really spoke to you, or a location that you never knew existed that took you on a journey all by itself. Let's take a look at this next Portal.

I came across this Portal while playing in downtown Manchester New Hampshire. The Portal is a giant work of art. A bronze sculpture by an artist named Ernesto Montenegro. Montenegro is the recipient of such prestigious awards as the Peter Abate Award and the Religious Sculpture Award of Monte Carlo's Gran Prix d'Art Contemporan, Montenegro is a diverse and talented artist.

His work spans a myriad of styles from abstract to realistic; from intricate reliefs to monumental bronzes. Ernesto Montenegro's sculpture can be found in many public and private collections throughout the world. This piece of art found in Manchester titled "Crosswalk" was commissioned by the Manchester Arts Commission, and funded entirely through donations to the Manchester Art Fund.

Picture a huge Bronze statue of several people walking across a crosswalk in a busy downtown urban area. Now picture yourself 5 stories up in a building looking down on these busy people bustling across the street. That is what the sculpture looks like. but at ground level. It is really hard to explain.

One of the most important aspects of the game is something called Glyph Hacking. This is when you come upon a portal of any faction, (Enlightened or Resistance) or even a neutral Portal indicated as a "Grey" or "White" Portal. When you "HOLD" the "HACK" button down you will see three options.

Option One is to Hack the Glyph, the other two choices are to Hack the Glyph with a Key, and the other is to Hack Without a Key. We will cover that in more detail in other Resinator Episodes. Once the new screen appears you will see the Glyph pattern, a series of 11 dots. Then a series of patterns will display.

Generally, the level of the Portal determines how many patterns will display. Once the pattern or patterns have displayed a countdown timer will begin followed by a timmer.

The objective is to replicate the pattern or patterns that were displayed. I'm sure everyone has played a memory game of some kind in the past. The more accurate you are and the faster you are completing the pattern will yield more AP (Access Points) when hacking that Portal.

Here is a tip! As a new player, I found it difficult to remember the patterns and I missed a lot of Glyph Hacking opportunities! I wanted to get better but I can't hang out at a portal all day waiting for it to cool down so I can hack it again and get more practice. So, I found some Glyph Hacking Trainer Apps on iOS and Android.

The iOS App I found helpful is called iGlyphTrainer. On Android I actually found 2 apps that were really good, the first is called "Memo Glyph" and the other is called "Glypher" both are great for learning the different Glyph Patterns and to practice on when you are not near a Portal.
