The Branch Davidians lived in Mount Carmel in Waco Texas. They were waiting for the return on Jesus, and David Koresh was God's Prophet. The ATF were worried that inside the Branch Davidians complex they were hoarding illegal weapons, and they had also heard rumours of child abuse. What they believed would be a 20 minute raid turned into a 51 day stand off which would leave 76 Branch Davidians dead and 8 ATF agents. But did the ATF and the FBI go in too hard? Did they light the fires that burnt the compound to the ground? Or did David Koresh, Leader of the Branch Davidians orchestrate the whole standoff so he and his followers could die in a Revelations style like he prophesised?
