Dealing with mental health is not only complicated but also costly, and like it or not, its a crisis. Approximately 15.5% of the global population is affected by mental illnesses, and those numbers are fast rising. Although there are many who require treatment, more than 50% of mental illnesses remain untreated. Entrepreneurs suffer mental illness at higher than average rates. According to a study by Michael Freeman, a psychiatrist, psychologist and former CEO who serves on the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, entrepreneurs are 50% more likely to report having a mental health condition, with some specific conditions being more prevalent among founders. A whopping 72% of entrepreneurs surveyed self-reported mental health concerns.

In January of 2018, the founders of the dog-walking startup, Wag, announced they had landed a $300 million investment from SoftBank's Vision Fund. The startup attracted endorsements from celebrities including singer Mariah Carey and actress Olivia Munn, who is also an investor.
