  • Visionary Company is Changing Automotive Industry

Maurice A. Jones the founder of MAJ Studios and the inventor of moBrella, a detachable car umbrella to add a luxury experience your everyday car joins Enterprise Radio.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Maurice A. Jones discuss the following:

    * What is the moBrella? * How did you get started on your path of inventing the moBrella and who are the competitors?  * What are the key success features of the moBrella? * Who are the potential buyers and users for the moBrella? * What advice can you give other inventors who is looking to patent their products or start an invention?

Maurice A. Jones is the founder of MAJ Studios and the inventor of moBrella.

As a young child, Maurice was inquisitive and full of curiosity.  He found joy in taking things apart, analyzing its purpose and grasping a full understanding of its functionality.  Getting a concept of these interests allowed him to focus on better simplistic ways of operating.

Maurice’s grandfather, James Jones, would share stories of how at the age of two, Maurice was not intimidated by size or age. One night, he was looking for a snack and instead of getting an adult to reach high places, he grabbed a chair and a broom, used the handle to turn on the light switch then grabbed the chair to climb on to reach the refrigerator.  He was found by his grandmother reaching for snacks. It was then that they knew there were no obstacles he would allow to stand in his way.

As an adult, he saw opportunity in age-old inventions to be updated and integrated with our 21st century.  Maurice’s wife, TiAndra, remembers countless nights spent drumming up sketches and ideas to make his vision a reality.  He would wake up in the middle of the night to jot down ideas or to make sketches of moBrella; sometimes disturbing his wife and son Emmanuel.  Tiandra would try to usher him back to sleep, but sleep was not going to stand in the way of destiny. By continuing to chase those feelings, he has been able to see the inner workings of his mind to become a fully functioning invention.

Danh Tran the Founder and Bob Stevens the Co-Founder of Buttercloth a popular men’s fashion clothing company joins Enterprise Radio.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guests Danh Tran & Bob Stevens discuss the following:

    * What is Buttercloth and why did you start your company?* Before being the CEO and Founder of Buttercloth, what did your previous resume look like? * What sets Buttercloth apart from other clothing brands?* Can you describe how Buttercloth changed after appearing on Shark Tank? * What does the future look like for Buttercloth?* Why did you choose a direct-to-consumer model for your business?* What advice do you have for others looking to start their own company?

Buttercloth Founder, Danh Tran is proof that dreams really do come true. In 1994, his family immigrated to California where he later took fashion classes at a local college and landed a job at Mattel – designing clothes for Barbie. When he had saved enough money, he enrolled in his dream school, Otis College of Art and Design. After graduating he was recruited by 7 for All Mankind, then House of Howe (Union Bay), and later Affliction Clothing, where he was Head Designer for 10 years. As someone who hated wearing dress shirts, he set out to make a dress shirt that felt like his favorite t-shirt. Using a special blend of 100% long fiber cotton and a unique manufacturing process, he developed a profoundly soft fabric he named “Buttercloth.”  Buttercloth’s explosive growth online also caught the attention of ABC’s Shark Tank, and Danh was invited to the show. In October 2018, viewers watched Danh make a $250,000 deal with investor Robert Herjavec who is helping to grow the Buttercloth™ brand worldwide.
