  • Mable, the first on-line, centralized, B2B grocery ordering platform

Arik Keller, Founder and CEO of Mable, the first on-line, centralized, B2B grocery ordering platform joins eCommerce Radio.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Arik Keller discuss the following:

    * What exactly is Mable, and how does it work?* How did you come up with this idea?* Were you surprised at how quickly you were able to close your seed round?* How has the start-up journey been?* I read that you already have thousands of products in the platform; how did this happen so quickly?* How is it going for your early customers?* Do you have any competitors in this field, and if so, how is Mable different?* What lies ahead in the first half of 2020?

Arik Keller, founder and CEO of Mable, has spent the last 20 years in technology start-ups. Most recently, Keller was Chief Product Officer of Confirm, a mobile identity company acquired by Facebook in 2018. Prior to Confirm, Keller spent 4 years running PayPal’s Global Demand Generation team.

Keller’s passion for small business and retail started when he founded a mobile advertising platform in 2009 designed to help small businesses drive local demand through targeted ads and coupons. The company was acquired by WHERE in 2010, which was acquired by PayPal in 2011. Prior to that, Keller was COO of DNSstuff, a platform for IT administration, which was acquired by Solarwinds.

After Facebook’s acquisition of Confirm, Arik Keller took a break from technology and bought a small convenience store. Keller discovered what his customers wanted, which involved a great deal of buying direct from emerging brands.

At the same time, Keller discovered all the inefficiencies of the purchase and restocking process, but with his tech background, quickly saw the solution: an on-line, centralized, ordering platform that would allow retailers to learn about and purchase from individual brands or distributors at wholesale. He also knew this would help distributors streamline their commerce and logistics.

Arik teamed up with a long-time friend, Eric Carlstrom, and Mable was born, to help small businesses more easily buy from one another to put better quality products on retail shelves and online.

Sharon Brown – B.Sc., CN, NTP, Certified GAPS Practitioner

Sharon Brown is the Founder and CEO of Bonafide Provisions. Sharon’s journey in the food business began when she healed her son from chronic health issues using real food and bone broth. This life-changing experience compelled Sharon to become a certified Clinical Nutritionist and open a private practice in Del Mar, California. Within one year, Sharon had a client wait list four months long. People were desperate to heal, and bone broth was a cornerstone of Sharon’s protocol. Unfortunately, making bone broth properly can be time consuming and expensive. There was no commercially available bone broth that met Sharon’s standards, so she enlisted the help of her husband, a professionally trained chef, to help her make bone broth for her clients. But changing her clients’ lives was not enough. Sharon believed that the healing power of bone broth should be available to everyone and, so, Bonafide Provisions was born.

Bonafide Provisions is the pioneer of traditionally-made bone broth and it’s currently the #1 selling frozen bone broth in the nation. The Bonafide Provisions line also includes organic soups with bone broth. From her nutrition practice to her healing foods company, Sharon’s mission has and always will be: to bring abundant wellness to the world by returning to the wisdom and traditions of our ancestors.
