  • How digital marketing has revitalized the pharmaceutical industry - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN
Digital marketing is opening up new opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry. While healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, and the health services sector tend to take a conservative approach to new technologies, those organizations which have taken on the risk of pioneering new approaches are reaping the benefits. Digital health spending is growing rapidly. Better connection to buyers, direct communication with end users, and strategically beneficial partnerships are just a few of the advantages being explored and exploited.
Patients are becoming more involved in their healthcare and treatment solutions. Consulting “Dr. Google” as a first response to symptoms has become the norm. Consulting friends, families, and peers can take precedence over professional opinions. The pharmaceutical and healthcare industries need to adjust and adapt to this new norm by engaging with customers more directly, openly, and intelligently.
Historically, customers tend to distrust drug manufacturers and treat marketing messages broadcast by pharmaceutical companies as suspect to a greater or lesser degree. In the past, the recommendation (and prescription) by a healthcare provider would be taken almost without question, making primary care physicians the critical audience to connect with. Now, patients search out feedback about experiences, reactions, and alternatives to prescriptions or recommended courses of care and may take the initiative to approach care providers with requested therapies or prescriptions. They also exhibit measurably lower brand loyalty and higher price sensitivity.
Digital marketing, and particularly marketing on social media platforms, offers meaningful tools to meet patient needs and improve market share at the same time. But those companies that do use social media tend to use it as a way to broadcast conservatively crafted messages about their products, rather than a way to engage customers, while others avoid the platforms altogether for fear of losing control of the narrative and being deluged by customer complaints and allegations of adverse effects.
The most successful players are the ones who don’t simply use new channels to broadcast old messages, but as ways to get closer to their customers. Greater transparency and responsiveness to concerns builds trust and demonstrates a desire to provide an effective product. Alibaba Health Information Technology VP Li Ma comments on the number of pharma companies looking for ways to connect with customers. A successful digital presence can give a brand a human face and build a better reputation. A “wide-and-deep” content strategy offers the information prospective patients crave. They’re going to go searching anyways; why not host the answers they’re seeking? Strong channels of communication can help identify demand for specific treatments and drugs, and effective companies will be the ones that position themselves as the go-to for integrated solutions, rather than isolated products.
While pharmaceutical companies are seeing success in supporting patients directly, additional audiences can also be served with effective digital marketing strategies. Primary care providers are projected to add extra support and coaching components to their services, even as they continue assessing needs and prescribing treatments.
Openness, sharing, and transparency are becoming more critical than ever. Look for collaboration opportunities with other companies to blend prescriptions and treatments, share resources, and integrate with databases, patient charts, and full cycle technologies to create more value for medical professionals and end users alike. If you don’t already have a strong programming department, partner with an existing company to improve digital offerings.
    While pha…

  • Ryan Labbe and Jason “JRoc” Craig, Clique Hospitality Nightlife Partners - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN

Ryan Labbe and Jason “JRoc” Craig, nightlife partners with Clique Hospitality, owned by Andy Masi, launching the APEX Social Club and Camden Cocktail Lounge at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas in May 2018 joins Enterprise Radio.
Listen to interview with host Eric Dye & guests Ryan Labbe and Jason “JRoc” Craig discuss the following:

    * Where did each of you start your career? Was it separate or have you been partners from the beginning?
    * Have you always been interested in hospitality and nightlife?
    * What do you think is the driving force behind a successful venue in Las Vegas specifically?
    * What will make APEX Social Club and Camden Cocktail Lounge stand out?
    * Tell us about your roles as nightlife partners with Clique Hospitality owner Andy Masi.
    * What has your experience been with the past openings with clique hospitality venues in different markets…San Diego vs Las Vegas? What do you try to bring to each market? What do you think the locals vs. tourists want?
    * What advice would you give to someone trying to get in the hospitality game in such a competitive market such as Las Vegas?

Vegas hospitality veterans Ryan Labbe + Jason “JRoc” Craig  individually dominated the Vegas scene for years, nonetheless the two decided to make a power move by joining forces in 2012 to form the 81/82 group. Their partnership and varied expertise in the industry would prove golden with their success having curated and established DJ residencies and must-attend events for a multitude of Vegas’ hotspots.
It was very clear that the duo knew exactly what they were doing. Craig’s marketing expertise stems from his work with N9NE Group.  As Director of Nightlife and Marketing, he helped oversee marketing and VIP services for seven venues. Labbe on the other hand, had a different approach to the industry. He quickly became known for his “guerrilla style” marketing, and was respected as someone willing to go over-the-top to create an experience, which this strategy overall has never been done before in Las Vegas.
As the two emerged as Vegas’ hospitality heavy hitters, it only made sense that not only bigger brands would want to collaborate with the duo but even bigger names. In 2015, Labbe & Craig partnered with hospitality mastermind Andy Masi for what would be their first of many huge projects in Las Vegas. Fast forward to 2018, and the power trio of Masi, Craig and Labbe are working on simultaneous projects, Apex Social Club which is taking over the infamous Ghostbar space on the rooftop of the Palms Casino Resort, and Camden Cocktail Lounge which will be located on Casino level. Both are slated as highly anticipated additions to their portfolios, set to open at the Palms Casino Resort this Spring.

  • Stand Out With Your Resume To Get Your Dream Job - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN
Top Things Recruiters Are Looking For in Your CV
While you are troubling your head about how to write a resume, there is a high chance applicant tracking software would filter it out without any interruption of a human being. Applicant tracker is the initial thing you have to acknowledge before writing a CV. There are many other aspects to pay attention to. Keep in mind that this is your official bureaucratic representation which creates the initial impression about you as a professional and as a person. Universal truth is, writing CV requires time and effort.

    Applicant tracking software
Many applicants and graduates make a crucial mistake in resume writing and applying for a job. Initial steps in career are determinative, so you’d better plan them in advance. Potential candidates send around ten applicants per day and wait months until someone will respond. Why is it happening? You may have excellent skills, promising progress in college, prestigious internship but no one will notice your resume. Less potential candidates may appear on the top of the filtered final list only because they realize how applicant tracking systems work. Most people are still in the mistaken belief that recruiters are reading every application.
General overview of the filtering process
Becoming a progressive candidate includes understanding tracking systems. Most giants like monster.com, careerbuilder.com, and Indeed are using 100% automated filtering recruitment. Only 5-15 filtered CVs are considered. The main principle of filtering is based on keywords and phrases. Every document which drops into inbox folder goes to system which standardizes it to a single format and grants privilege in accordance with relevance of key combinations. There is no universal list of such words. Every position has its requirements. In other words, your career luck depends not on your skills but on the words which you use to describe them.
How to adopt a CV to a tracking system?
This is decisive question in the first step of your career. No tips will work better than this one. Find way to adapt your professional identifying document to specialized software. Here you can find the following options:
    Consultation with recruiting specialist
    Ordering CV
Do research and write it yourself
All the methods are effective. Some people want to control the situation and do everything themselves. Others choose to rely on specialists and order research or completed CV online here https://edubirdie.com/research-paper-help. Choose your method and apply thoughtfully. It will reveal you from waiting months and receive no response from the company of your dreams.
    Reapplying is normal
Unless you were contacted, you can reapply for the position and write different cover letters. You have an unlimited number of attempts to play with a various set of descriptions. Some may appear efficient, others not. Make a research on how to optimize your resume and decide whether you want to make it yourself or you want to rely on a specialist. The most efficient method is creating a draft version by yourself and asking an experienced recruitment manager to adapt it. The more consultations you have, the better. Remember, if you are not contacted after a while, you can always try again.

    Read the job description
Here is a little secret. HR specialists are writing job descriptions. The same managers are creating a database with key phrases. It means that everything you need for successful application is already stated in the initial job description. The negative side of this methods includes optimizing your CV every time to every position which may slow down the process significantly. On the other hand, quality is always be…

  • Cedar Ridge: Authentic by Nature - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN

Jeff Quint, Owner and Founder of Cedar Ridge, the reigning “Distillery of the Year” as named by the American Distilling Institute joins Enterprise Radio.
Listen to interview with host Eric Dye & guest Jeff Quint discuss the following:

    * Tell me how Cedar Ridge distillery came to be.
    * I noticed that you are the reigning “Distillery of the Year” as awarded by the American Distilling Institute.  How did you win that award?
    * What exactly is “grain to glass” distilling?
    * “Grain to glass” distilling sounds like a more expensive method, and a slower path to growth. Is that true?
    * Being a distiller, especially in a family-owned distillery, sounds like a fantasy job. What advice can you share with others who may want to pursue this?

Born and raised on a farm in Eastern Iowa, Jeff grew up learning and living the values associated with a large family, hard work, and managing small business.
Upon graduating from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Accounting and a freshly earned CPA certificate, Jeff moved to Minneapolis to join a large public accounting practice. A year later he married his high school sweetheart, Laurie, who joined him there. After several years in Minneapolis and shortly after their first son, Murphy, arrived, Jeff and Laurie decided to move back to their roots in Eastern Iowa.
Over the next couple of decades, Jeff was involved with several companies (two of which he co-founded) as their Chief Financial Officer or Executive VP. In 2003, Jeff and Laurie started Cedar Ridge, which is now the largest craft distillery in the state, producing four barrels of whiskey per day and reigning as American Distilling Institute’s “Distillery of the Year.”
Jeff is the ninth generation of Quint family farmers and distillers.  His great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather, Johann Jakob Quint, settled in Wintrich, Germany in the early 1700s to open a cooperage and winery on the Mosel River; Weingut Quint is still there today. Jeff’s great-grandfather, John Quint, migrated from Wintrich to Eastern Iowa in 1881, bringing his trade and skills with him. Jeff’s father, Howard Quint, taught Jeff the process of harvesting and pressing apples from their small family orchard, then making that fresh juice into wine and brandy; Howard’s old press and copper pot still are on display at Cedar Ridge today.

  • How family has helped entrepreneur Kumari Fulbright achieve her goals - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN
Self-made entrepreneur and feminism supporter Kumari Fulbright is living life to her fullest. Although she has earned multiple qualifications including an MBA, a psychology degree, and a real estate license in Florida with an additional license for Nevada in the works, she shows no signs of slowing down.
In addition to her impressive credentials, Kumari also has also achievements ranging from assisting women, and minority-owned businesses win government contracts, to establishing her entrepreneurial presence in the entertainment industry. While not many can say that they can accomplish as much as Kumari, she attributes her acclaimed success to the unwavering support of her family.
Family – the key driving force
Kumari reveals that family is one of the critical components of her life. I have the kind of family everyone dreams of having. We are tight knit and stick together, they are the reason why I’m resilient,” she adds “My family actually enjoy one another and get together often. My aunts are like built-in best friends. We shop together, talk at least weekly and email and text almost daily.”
The 35-year-old is more than just a beauty, but also possesses profound compassion towards other, less fortunate people. Despite her good looks, Kumari keeps a humble disposition and radiates a jovial personality which she attributes to her upbringing by her parents.
“My parents took us to homeless shelters and soup kitchens as kids as a way to not only to teach us the importance of helping the less fortunate but as a reminder of the blessings in our own life.” Since then, Kumari has always been active in community service all throughout her college years into adulthood.
While working at a public affairs firm in Dallas, Kumari has helped several MBE (Minority Business Enterprises) and WBE (Women’s Business Enterprise) certified companies secured lucrative government projects. “It was a very fulfilling experience to help these companies grow” she adds.
“My family actually enjoys one another and we travel together often.” When Kumari is not busy with her ventures, she enjoys spending time on the road visiting other countries with her loved ones. So far her travels have taken her across cities in Europe, and South America and she has no intention to stop anytime soon.
“Traveling is one of my favorite hobbies and tools for personal growth. It gives you an understanding and compassion that cannot be achieved in any other way.”
    Screenwriting debut
Despite her success in the business world, Kumari currently is working on a number of pet projects as she wants to keep doing what she loves. With entertainment being one of her strongest passions, she has co-founded Shades of Black Productions and partnered up with Aloris Entertainment to develop two television series pilots. She is trying her hand in screenwriting, which has since garnered interest from Netflix.
Kumari’s love of entertainment goes beyond the bright lights and silver screens. She founded an event planning company during her college years which she managed to get Eminem to perform at the local Detroit nightclub.
“I’ve always love to host parties and provide people with an amazing time,” says Kumari. “Even if it’s just a private dinner party in my home. I like to have all the final details nailed down perfectly before showtime. And when curtains roll up, I just sit back and watch others enjoy the ride.”
While there is still a long road ahead until we’ll finally be able to see Kumari’s screenwriting debut hit our screens, she remarks that the early stages of development have been going smoothly.
This is all attributed to the support of the Rhode Island-based Aloris Entertainment, which has numerous theatrical releases and television programs under its belt. “In a way these are guys are l…
