  • Good Safety Practices for Residential Construction - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN
According to the OSHA, there are 6.5 million people working at the nation’s construction sites each day. While those workers take a number of extra precautions to protect themselves from workplace injuries, construction site injuries and fatalities are all too common. In fact, a whopping 38,000 injuries are reported each year. There are also a number of facilities, many of which are caused by falling, being by an object, getting caught in-between structures, or being electrocuted. Fortunately, by exercising precaution and utilizing good safety practices residential construction workers can work to prevent or reduce these mishaps.
    1. Avoid Stairway Accidents
Stairs are a constant obstacle for construction workers at residential sites. Countless slips and falls come as a result of abandoned tools, loose debris or water accumulating in the stairwell. Meanwhile, the installation of stair treads and handrails can provide a simple remedy. It is important to quickly resolve any complications to stairways. Moreover, when installing stair treads, check that they cover the entire step and landing.
    Avoid Being Struck
The constant flow of vehicles at a construction site make for a unqiue hazard. Workers positioned on the ground run the risk of being hit by moving vehicles or being pinned between moving and fixed objects. To avoid such a tragedy, workers should wear bright colored, reflective clothing. High-visibility vests, jackets, and pants can be easily seen during the night and day. At the same time, workers should avoid standing between structures and moving vehicles.
    Use Ladders and Scaffolding Safely
Anytime you lift your feet off the ground, you heighten your risk of falling. Since worksites require frequent use of ladders and scaffolding to reach elevated surfaces, it is imperative that workers inspect, test, and appropriately prepare themselves to handle these increased risk areas. Poor safety practices could result in serious injuries, time off the job, or death.
When using ladders at residential construction sites, workers should take the time to inspect them for structural damage, slippery conditions, or worksite environmental concerns. Moreover, obey manufacturer’s recommendations and warnings. The same advice applies to scaffolding, which should be installed on solid, flat ground, away from electrical wires, and never used in rain, high wind, or other treacherous weather conditions.
    Protect Your Head
Your head is by far your most important body part. Accordingly, it should be protected at all times. High Visibility hard hats can save you from falling objects, overhead electrical hazards, and accidental collisions with fixed objects. You may need to pair a hard hat with safety glasses or a face shield when necessary.
Don’t Forget the Hands and Feet
Every year, there are an alarming number of hand injuries reported on the job. From minor lacerations to stitches, and torn tendons, hand injuries can be costly and lead to medical absences from work. Fortunately, the proper safety equipment, including rubber lined, insulted, and arm-lengthed gloves, can help workers avoid costly and uncomfortable injuries.
As a rule, feet should also always be properly covered. Steel-toed boots with nonslip, puncture-free rubber soles are perfect for protecting your feet from the painful impact of falling objects, heavy machinery, or perforations caused by sharp debris.
    Only Enter a Sound Trench
Trenches, or narrow man-made depressions in the ground, and excavations pose some of the greatest perils of residential construction sites. In particular, collapsed trenches one of the top causes of injuries and fatalities in the construction world. To avoid this type of mishap, no construction worker should enter an unprotected trench. Protective systems…

  • Location is Key: Is Your Business Located in the Best Place? - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN

Finding the best spot to grow your business is a unique challenge. Not only do you want to accommodate what you’ve already built, but you’re going in with the hope of making operations better than ever. Do you know what it takes to begin researching the ideal location for your business? If not, the following information will give you a good start.

“Location, Location, Location”: Does It Apply to Your Business?

First, you have to determine what’s at stake. Do you depend on customers and clients who walk through the door and come straight to you? If the answer is no, reevaluate your real estate needs. If you won’t be dealing with customers in this space, make the budget your biggest priority, not location.

Some businesses, such as contractors, may have a front office, but the actual work takes place at a jobsite located elsewhere. Since that’s the point where the most customer contact and customer impressions are made, which street you choose for your headquarters is secondary, at the very least.

The same goes for offices where clientele are contacted remotely via phone or internet. Call centers, for instance, do not need to put location above budget, building size, or appropriate communications wiring.

Tips for Choosing the Best Location for Your Business

If your business offers customer-facing services in-store, the criteria for a prime location can be quite long. Once you’ve chosen a general area, sniff out the competition. It may seem odd to want to place yourself in close proximity to these businesses, but as you may have noticed, fast food restaurants are usually clumped together – and for good reason.

Chances are, those competitors are already positioned there because the traffic includes the demographic that they serve. You can essentially use that competitor’s prior analysis and advertising to effortlessly choose an ideal spot where the people who want your products and services are already going.

Even if there are no competitors in your area, always look at who has set up shop nearby when you’re looking at commercial real estate for lease listings. If the businesses on that street are primarily industrial, question whether or not your quiet office space would fit in here. Pay strict attention to zoning to ensure you don’t somehow end up with a lease that doesn’t allow you for your businesses to operate as intended.

Also factor in the safety and density of this particular neighborhood. Would your staff or clients feel safe if they were walking a hundred yards to get to the building? Can the area be navigated relatively easily?

These factors are best taken into account when you visit the area yourself. Choose a time where traffic would be heaviest, usually in late afternoon or early evening. Note how much parking is really available, and if you’re sharing parking with residents or other businesses.

Location is extremely important when you want your audience to visit you. However, it’s also crucial that you seem inviting to your new neighbors, too. Be sure to introduce yourself to others on the street with an opening day event. After all, you’re not just a business, you’re a new member of an established community.

  • 8 Tips for Staying in a Hotel with Your Dog - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN
Like a considerable number of people, you may have a desire to take a vacation with your pooch. If you will be staying at a hotel with your dog during your travels, there are some strategies you need to seriously consider following. Indeed, there are eight primary tips for staying in a hotel with your dog.
    Plan Ahead and be Proactive
Before departing on your trip with your dog, there are a number of steps to take in advanced. First, you need to make sure that the information on your dog’s identification tag is accurate and up-to-date. Second, if your canine companion has not been microchipped, now would be a solid time to get that done. Taking these two steps are vital should a situation occur while traveling in which your dog gets away from your for one reason or another.
    Make a Pooch Reservation
Even if you have done research and are making a reservation at what is billed as a pet-friendly hotel, you need to follow up when you make your actual reservation. In other words, when you make your reservation, you need to make it to include your dog.
Although making a reservation online can prove to be highly convenient, consider making it by phone if your dog will be traveling with you. Confirm that the property is pet-friendly, make sure you reserve a room that is set aside for human and furry guests, and find out what charges, if any, are added to the bill for a dog.
    Select the Proper Room
Even if many rooms at a hotel are set aside for guests with pets, not all of these rooms really are ideally suited for humans and dogs traveling together. You are best served reserving a room on the first floor.
A first floor room permits you better and quicker access to the outside when it comes to potty time for your pooch. In addition, because you will not only be traveling with your own luggage, but your dog’s “stuff” as well, being on the first floor requires less effort in getting all of your travel gear inside and stowed.
Think about getting a room away from elevators. Many dogs are unfamiliar with the sound of an elevator. The noise may excite your canine, causing him or her to react, and perhaps loudly so.
    Inspect the Room — Closely
When you get into the hotel room, keep your dog crated until you complete a full inspection of the space. This includes checking for things like sharp edges that could injury your canine. It also means closely looking for any pills that could have fallen to the floor of have been left elsewhere by a prior occupant.
Create a Comfortable and Safe Space
You will also want to make the space as comfortable and safe for your dog as possible. This includes bringing along his or her favorite blanket. Safety includes leaving the “do not disturb” sign on the door unless you are in the room.
    Chew Toys are Important
No matter how easygoing your dog is, he or she may be agitated while traveling. Avoiding your dog chewing on hotel property can be accomplished by bringing along your pooch’s favorite chew toys. If your dog typically does not play with chew toys, consider introducing him or her to them before you depart on your trip.
    Clean Up After Your Pooch
Make sure you consistently clean up after your dog during the course of your stay. Of course, you need to clean up any “accident promptly.” But, you also need to be aggressive in cleaning up fur that your dog may shed as you stay at a hotel
Contact Information at the Front Desk
When you check into the hotel, provide your mobile phone number to the clerk at the front desk. Indeed, consider providing a backup contact person as well. Make sure that this information is appended to the file the hotel creates for your account.
By having your mobile phone, the hotel can contact you promptly if you are away from your room and an issue arises with your dog. By providing a…

  • How Web Technology Enriches Online Casino Games? - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN

Due to the fast development of online casino technology, the beginning of online casino games may seem to be a long time ago. Just a few years back you couldn’t hear about mobile gaming, which is now a common in today’s world.

When online casino games were finally introduced to the waiting players, the connections were not reliable and were slow too. The types of computers back then couldn’t handle heavy graphics, and hence the pictures were not like what you experience today on an online casino like Spinzwin.

The changes have however been improved, and internet gambling on live casinos is one of the most enjoyable things. The improvement has resulted in the huge growth of the industry because many gamblers have now switched from the land-based casinos to online casinos. The following are a few of the ways that web technology has revolutionized and enriched online casino games.

    The Graphics

Quality graphics are eye-candies when it comes to gaming. When the display of your slots game is smooth and attractive to the eye, you will certainly want to stay longer and play more.

Slots are being developed in beautiful themes that are designed professionally. They go hand-in-hand with cool and comfortable sound effects. They give a player great experiences, and with good processing speed, the player can gamble endlessly.

    Added Features

Developers back in the days couldn’t load many features on an online game because it could only mean two things. A very slow and agonizing gaming experience due to delayed connection, or the crashing of the game whenever it was launched on a slots machine or a computer.

In the present day, the slots have exciting features like bonus rounds, free spins, side-games and wild symbols that give players different ways to win. They also assist in breaking the monotonous and long slots games. Extra features are always exciting.

Security of Playing and Betting Money

Web technology comes with great security protocols that are meant to ensure that all players are safe when accessing the games online. They also keep the personal details safe, those that players use when creating online casino games accounts.

They, however, ensure that your money and transactions are always safe from the huge risks of online businesses.

    Convenience

Online casino games give you the convenience of playing just any game that you feel like. You do all this in the comfort of your home. Create an account at Spinzwin casino, and you can switch from Blackjack to Baccarat almost effortlessly.

    Into the Future

No one knows what to expect when it comes to the future of online gaming. One thing is however for sure that the gaming technology will improve further to amazing heights to give its players thrilling moments ever than before.

One day, he was working out, tweaked his neck and wanted to give himself cervical traction. He grabbed a band, wrapped it around a pool and the back of his head. Ten minutes later, the neck pain was gone. He knew that he was onto something, but the biggest challenges were making the Neck Hammock comfortable, portable and affordable. Two years later, he is now bringing the Neck Hammock to market.

  • Stage Your Space: Make Your Residential Open House Memorable - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN
If you are putting your home on the market, you are joining other people in your community who want to sell. Even if you are part of a brisk housing market, you cannot rest on your proverbial laurels when it comes to preparing and presenting your home for sale.
Staging and the Efficient Sale of Your Home
You may be like many people and think that all you really need to do is have an open house. You may believe that once a prospective buyer gets inside your home, and sees all that it has to offer, that individual will be “sold” and ready to make an offer.
Oh that it were so easy to sell a residence, even a well-maintained, and well-appointed one. The reality is that on any given day, the housing market in your community has multiple offerings that very well meet many of the specific needs, goals, and objectives of a person looking to but residential property.
You undoubtedly have heard of staging and the benefits of preparing the presentation of your residence in such a way to make it as appealing as possible to the widest swath of potential home buyers. You may even have read an article or two on the staging process, and how to undertake it successfully.
Once again, when it comes to studying the basic ins and outs of staging, you are not alone. Nearly all other homeowners looking to sell in your area have done precisely the same thing.
You need to take the focus of the staging process one step further. You need to come up with a unique idea, a particular addition, that you can add to the overall staging presentation of your home before it goes into the market. You need to think of something that will resonate in the minds of men and women who visit your home during an open house. In this regard, you truly need to think outside of the proverbial home seller box.
    Be a Pinball Wizard
You need not do anything unduly expensive to etch a mark in the minds of people who visit your home during an open house. You need to make some sort of massive alteration in the premises. You can do something quite simply that will cause your home to standout from the pack and leave a lasting impression. This one little addition can prove to be the trigger that allows a visitor to your open house, and likely to many others, to better recall all of the wonderful features your home has to offer.
Consider, for example, taking a rather unique step of adding something like a pinball machine to your residence. No, you need not turn your home into some sort of arcade. Rather, you can tuck a pinball machine into an appropriate space in your residence. By doing so, you will find that a majority of visitors to your home will take notice. More significantly, after taking notice of the pinball machine, they will remember its placement in your home. By remembering the placement of a pinball machine in your property, these potential buyers will be triggered to recall other favorable elements of your home.
The fact is that you have more options that you might imagine to select from if you want to add a pinball machine to your home. There are antique derivations that can be a nice addition to any number of rooms in your home. There are other vintage options that come from different time periods, particularly the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.
Keep in mind that a pinball machine, particularly depending on the era in which it was created, can be utilized in spaces beyond a game, recreational, or even great room. You might be able to find a unique collectable version that would be a perfect addition nestled into anything from a living to a bedroom in your residence.
    Other Memorable Touches
Presenting a pinball machine as a device to make your home most memorable, not just more memorable, after an open house is just one idea. Nonetheless, it provides a perfect example of the…

  • 5 Ways to Celebrate Food - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN

If you’re like most people, then you love food. Food is necessary to survival, but there’s a reason that we don’t eat tasteless gray energy bars at every meal. Instead of consuming food out of necessity alone, we’ve made a spectacle and an adventure out of it. Food, when properly prepared, is an experience in and of itself, and there are a hundred ways to celebrate a love of food. For now, we’re going to explore five of them.

    Food Tours

A new form of excitement, food tours have started to be a regular activity in every major city. Typically, you hop on a bus with a bunch of other people, and you drive around from site to site, sampling the best of what the city has to offer. Often, food tours are themed, like “Chocolate” and “Pizza.” If you want to sample some of the best selections in any major city, a food tour is probably the perfect adventure for you.

    Flavorings

We don’t just celebrate food with food. We celebrate it with things we can’t even eat. There are plenty of food-scented items, like cinnamon roll-scented candles, and strawberry-scented shampoo. It seems that wherever we go, we want things to remind us of food. Even Ejuice, the base for e-cigarettes and vapes, now comes in food flavors. As soon as we found a way to replace cigarette-smoke taste with chocolate chip cookie taste, we did it.

    Food Photography

Some people find this one… a little weird. And while you should probably spare your Facebook friends from having to look at a plate of mashed potatoes, food as art is often worth snapping a photo of. In fact, food photography has become such a big deal that it’s changing the way we prepare meals. Rather than dumping our dinners onto our plates, we’re starting to arrange them. Art is, in essence, a tribute to a thing or idea, so making art out of your food is a tribute… to your food. Since a life full of art is an improved life, this is one trend that’s dong zero harm.

    Cooking From Scratch

Many Americans content themselves with cheap dinners–the kind that come out of a cardboard box. To truly celebrate the wonder that is food, try to cook more meals from scratch. Cooking can be a relaxing, engaging activity, from chopping fresh garlic to sprinkling garnish on top of the finished meal. The end result will be healthier, taste better, and fill you with pride.

    Exploring the World

You can go from Thailand to India to Italy for under a hundred dollars, all in one week. How? With food, of course. A cuisine tour of the world will inspire your taste buds and get you scheming about new recipe ideas. No matter how long you live, there will always be a taste you haven’t tried, and since just about every recipe on earth is available online, you can start experiencing new flavors each and every day.
