  • Why following your passion is the key to changing the world - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN

John Crestani, an internationally-renowned expert in affiliate marketing again joins Enterprise Radio for a series of interviews. On this episode, John will discuss why following your passion is the key to changing the world.
Listen to host Eric Dye & guest John Crestani discuss the following:

    * First-off, whats your passion?
    * How did you find your passion in life, so early on?
    * Why do you believe traveling is so important to finding ones passion?
    * How can others find their passion in life?

Born in 1987, John Crestani has accomplished a lot in his twenty-nine years. Cretstani had his first taste of financial & mobility independence in 2006; as he and his first car sped off to college. Fast forward to 2009 and Crestani, 21, traveled to Thailand to figure out his direction in life and “find” himself. During this time he read a number of spiritual works, such as The Alchemist, that would later influence his life.
But his saving grace turned out to be a business book: The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss, the now-classic manual for breaking free of the nine-to-five desk job by building an online business. John Crestani was sitting on a beach in Thailand, poor and lost in his life when he opened a book that helped transform him to becoming a motivated and successful internet entrepreneur.
After a number of years of trial-and-error of building his internet business, Crestani finally managed to create a multi-million dollar business, met his wife, and travel the world. In 2016, he had his first child while growing the company. He went from deep in debt, to having a successful, cashflow-positive business, that supports his life.
As of late he’s gone on to build an empire in education. And now he’s taken it upon himself to teach a handful of aspiring entrepreneurs how they too can transition to the new entrepreneurial economy, and be the boss of themselves. Currently Crestani is preparing for the release of his new platform; a dramatic new business model focused on helping others gain control of their time.
Crestani hopes to share his unparalleled insight and experience and wants others to become part of a community of people who share similar aspirations. “Now is the only time to start living life on your own terms,” exclaims Crestani, adding “I hope to help people in any way I can.”

  • Hoffman Academy’s innovative model for online piano lessons is creating new possibilities for music education - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN

Joseph Hoffman the Founder and CEO of Hoffman Academy, an online music program designed to give families access to high quality education at a small fraction of the price of traditional lessons joins Enterprise Radio.
Listen to host Eric Dye & Joseph Hoffman guest discuss the following:

    * You founded Hoffman Academy in 2007 in Portland, Oregon, as a music school for traditional piano lessons. Why did you decide to expand and take Hoffman Academy online?
    * What is unique about the Hoffman Academy approach?
    * You have a lot of content that you offer for free. Why did you decide to go with a freemium model, and how has that been working for you?
    * You seem to rank very well for your target keywords on Google searches (piano lessons online, learn piano online). How did you do that?
    * What do you see as the major challenges of getting people to try a new (online) approach to music lessons?
    * What’s next for Hoffman Academy?

Joseph Hoffman, creator and CEO of Hoffman Academy, is passionate about making music accessible, fun, and relevant for kids and adults. His unique Hoffman Method provides a rigorous and complete music education, while appealing to a child’s natural curiosity and playful spirit.
After graduating with a Master of Music in 2005, Joseph Hoffman was appointed as faculty in BYU’s School of Music, where he taught music theory and conducting for 2 years. In 2007, Mr. Hoffman decided to pursue a lifelong dream and moved with his wife Kelly and their two sons to Portland, Oregon to start a music academy.

Soon Mr. Hoffman realized that there was a greater demand for piano lessons than he was able to satisfy, and so the idea was born to provide piano lessons online.
Mr. Hoffman and his wife decided that they wanted every video lesson to be free, so there would be no barrier to any child in the world who wanted to learn to play the piano. The only thing they would charge for were the lesson materials, which Mr. Hoffman created to supplement and reinforce the learning in the video lessons. The very first video lesson went live on January 2, 2010.
In early 2016, Mr. Hoffman completed a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund the development of a whole new online music learning experience, and in 2017 he launched Hoffman Academy 2.0, which integrates the video lessons with progress tracking, practice instructions, and online learning games.
Mr. Hoffman has uploaded over 160 video lessons, viewed over 7 million times by piano students around the world, and he’s always actively creating new lessons, learning materials, and games for his online academy.

  • The consequences of not having a care giving plan - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN

Raymond Lavine, a principal at Lavine: LTC Insurance again joins Enterprise Radio. Raymond will save you time and money with designing the best plan and discounts with the premier carriers.
Listen to host Eric Dye & Raymond Lavine guest discuss the following:

    * Give us an update about LTC benefits. What benefits are available. How do we know which plan to own?
    * We talked about Long Term Care Benefits plans, what else should listerners know about caregiving and how will it be helpful to them?
    * What would be the consequences of not having a care giving plan?

Raymond Lavine became interested in extended care benefits (long-term-care insurance) because of personal experiences with the disruption that frailty or chronic care issues will cause to families, their lifestyle, and their cash flow. He now advises families and businesses with ways to create a reserve fund to pay for care benefits if needed.
Lavine says many people believe that they will never need long-term care because they are healthy now. Statistics show that many Americans will need some level of extended care before they die and even if they do not believe a care event will happen, what would be the consequences of your family and your lifestyle if you do not have a care plan in place, just in case?
The common misconception that Medicare, the Veterans Administration, Medicaid, or some other social service agency will pay for extended care leads people to believe that no individual or family plan is needed. By the time they learn the personal and family realities, it is a crisis with no simple solutions.
Lavine explains the issues and provides the information needed to make an informed decision about planning for extended care. This includes various ways that benefits can be designed and how it can part of your comprehensive financial plan.
Raymond Lavine has the competence and experience in long term care benefits planning with a BA in International Relations from the University of Southern California; an MBA and MA from Drucker-Ito Graduate School of Management, Claremont Graduate University; and the CLTC designation.

  • New App that makes any city feel like home - Entrepreneur Podcast Network – EPN

Lynn and Scott Greenberg, Co-Founders at Pivt, which is an app for people moving or on the move to help make any city feel like home joins Enterprise Radio.
This episode of Enterprise Radio is working in conjunction with the Mobile App Channel.
Listen to host Eric Dye & guests Lynn and Scott Greenberg discuss the following:

    * Who was the brainchild of Pivt and how did you guys come up with the idea?
    * Explain to me how the app works?
    * So this is not just for people moving, if I was going to London for work, I could just open the app and see people that I have something in common with and send them a message about grabbing a drink?
    * What is the vision of Pivt? How can our listeners get Pivt and what advice do you have for people moving cities?

Lynn graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 2010 and shortly after moved to London to work for Bloomberg LP in Message Compliance and Financial Surveillance. While in London, Lynn faced many of the challenges and hardships that virtually all people experience when moving to a new and unfamiliar city – how to go about making friends. Lynn searched but could not find a resource that connected people one-on-one based on their existing network and commonalities, which is what she had hoped to find and use. With this as a backdrop, Lynn and her brother, Scott, started brewing what is now, Pivt.

Upon moving back to NY a few years later, Lynn joined Autonomy Ventures as an Associate, where she procured dealflow, managed teams, and drove value creation of portfolio companies. Lynn is also a frequent panelist and startup judge at various events, including FundingPost at SXSW. Lynn is also an advisor at Astia, a curated, global community of experts committed to the success of world class women-led, high-growth startups. Additionally, Lynn is the VP of Panels for New York Venture Community.
Lynn was recently awarded StrtupBoost’s NYC 33 Under 33 award for her efforts towards Pivt and social media.
Scott, Co-Founder at Pivt is a recent Finance and Entrepreneurship graduate at Syracuse University.
