Have you ever wondered what it was like to fly one of the most intimidating helicopters in the world? You'll get the opportunity to hear about what that's like on this episode with Major Warren Green of the NC National Guard. Warren is an old friend of mine from our time at the University of North Carolina. He was my long snapper for two years. We live close to each other, this episode was filmed with both of us in my garage studio.
On this episode, Warren talks about becoming a pilot, weapons on the helicopter, some interesting stories from his deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, and why getting shot down would suck.
This is a two-part podcast, part two will be up shortly after. Go give that one a listen to hear about flying rivers, testing helicopters after repairs, controlled falls, and if parachutes work out of a helicopter.
