Trust is the foundation on which our ability to fulfill our function rests. Our function is to forgive and to be happy. Faithfulness helps us to become more advanced in our trust. We learn how important it is to place our problems in the Holy Spirit's hands and await His divine answer. In this Walk of Trust series, Lesson 7, Rev. Deb shares that with trust and faith, we can realize how truly held we are in the arms of God.

Jesus tells us in A Course in Miracles that defense is fear. Each time we defend, we increase the fear. But what are we defending? The ego. Since we have the belief that we cannot trust God, we continue to plan and scheme to save the face of the ego. However, the good news is we have another way to choose: We can choose to trust. We can be open to change and open to receive inner wisdom. In this Walk of Trust series, Lesson 6, Rev. Deb shares that seeking for guidance outside of ourselves, or following our own plans, will never truly fulfill us or make us happy.

Jesus tells us in A Course in Miracles that we do not place our trust in Him but instead we place it in the ego. This is where the mistrust of God lies. If we can step back, realize we do not know the answer to any of our seeming problems, and simply be still in the quiet with Him, we will receive exactly what we need. Jesus tells us in A Course in Miracles that to us who live here in the world, healing is very frightening. Many of us feel damaged in some way, and so we are afraid to trust and experience peace. Deb shares how the miracle of forgiveness with the Holy Spirit will set us free so we can live a life of trust.

We believe we know the answer to anything that appears in our lives. The opposite is true. By being open to the recognition that I do not know the meaning of anything I perceive, it is the beginning of trusting God. We can learn to accept responsibility for our own mind and accept the power of choice. In this Walk of Trust series, Lesson 3, Rev. Deb shares her wisdom and asks you to answer a simple question: "Do I want the problem or do I want the answer?"
