Entitled to Miracles! w/Rev. Deb Phelps

It's that haunting time of year! You don't have to be afraid of the "bumps in the night" that occur from the thoughts of the past. Let's shove those skeletons back in the closet where they belong and roll along in peace with the Holy Spirit. Rev. Deb shares a recent personal story of doing just that. As A Course in Miracles says, "Children perceive frightening ghosts and monsters and dragons, and they are terrified. Yet if they ask someone they trust for the meaning of what they perceive, and are willing to let their own interpretations go in favor of reality, their fear goes with them. When a child is helped to translate his 'ghost' into a curtain, his 'monster' into a shadow, and his 'dragon' into a dream he is no longer afraid, and laughs happily at his own fear."

Like it or not, the discussion of the upcoming presidential election is all around us. We easily get drawn in to the battle, so it seems. Yet, we don't like how we feel. How can we rise above the negativity, the conflict, and fear? Why, remembering we can elect to choose peace in our mind! Rev. Deb shares her thoughts about how to put God and peace first, and an election meditation you can use to remember to embrace everyone in unity and put forth peace as your One Goal.

In the world we find much to disrupt our peace, be it news events or personal interactions. However, we can have peace in our lives. It all starts simply within. As the old song goes, "Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me." With each step we take we can be the peacemakers of the world. Join Rev. The Happy Learner, Jesus tells us how devoted to misery we really are, and we think misery is happiness! We have to realize we have been deceiving ourselves and come to know that only the Truth is true.
