Greg Reed served one church in pastoral ministry for over 40 years.  At some point along his pastoral journey, he began to serve in a chaplain role in the marketplace.  A few years ago, Greg launched his own business as a “workplace life coach.”  

He has been thrilled to discover a new season of ministry in which he gets to do all the things he loved so much about pastoring, but also makes a income far greater than anything he’d ever known in the church world.  

Greg is soon launching a cohort where he will be teaching other pastors how to take their shepherding skill set into the marketplace as workplace life coaches.

In this episode, Jon and Les bring the EntrePastors business consultant, Shane Odom, back to the podcast to discuss the topic of using debt to start or grow a business.  For many Christians, and especially pastors, debt is often seen as a negative thing to avoid at all costs.  And while this may often be very good advice when it comes to consumer debt on depreciating items, there are times when leveraging debt for income-producing assets is not always such a bad thing. 

In this conversation you will hear the guys talk about how to know the difference between “good debt” and “bad debt.”  For some, this conversation may serve as a warning to not get over-extended with unnecessary debt, while for others it may be an invitation to reconsider some of their previously held notions about the subject of debt.
