He is an advocate for improving the environment, infrastructure, affordability, diversity, support of small businesses, and recovery from the pandemic. His successes include helping to secure millions in state funding for sewers in the Smithtown, Kings Park, and St. James business districts, which will help protect the environment and enhance the economy.

Prior to being named president of the LIA Matt served as its Vice President of Government Affairs & Communications for 10 years. In that role, he was the chief lobbyist for the LIA. He has also had successful stints at the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) and was Long Island Director for United States Senator Charles Schumer. Matt has also worked as an aide in the Suffolk County Executive’s office. Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts in History (with a concentration in American History) from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law. He was admitted to the bar in New York State in July 2012.

Keyvan Ghaytanchi is Chief Operating Officer at Port Washington, NY-based BEB Capital, a real estate investment company that has been growing in markets along the East Coast and features a diverse range of properties within its portfolio.

Keyvan oversees and manages the firm’s day-to-day operations, transactions, developments, leasing, due diligence, and risk control. In 2020, he was appointed president of the firm’s newly formed lending division. He received his JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2003 and has been admitted to the State Bar of New York.
