It's called MACA, or Military Aid to the Civil Authorities, and since the first lockdown, RAF Reservists have been temporarily swapping their civilian jobs to play their part on the COVID Support Force.

Our correspondent, Flight Lieutenant Mark McKinstry, visited RAF Reservists on Operation RESCRIPT as they support the NHS with Covid testing in the North West of England.
