Ep. 100: "VA Training" Is NOT A Substitute For Actual Training
Most high schools and colleges here in the US and in the Philippines don't really prepare you for work. They teach you how to think and take tests, but they don't arm you with valuable skills that you can apply right away. That's why most of us prefer workers with experience and stay away from fresh graduates.
It's the same thing with most VA training programs out there. Just because a Filipino VA is a graduate of a VA training program doesn't mean they have the skills you need. Unless they have a portfolio, or their previous employer can confirm this, or you can train them yourself, you shouldn't assume that they can start working without any onboarding.
