About a month ago, I decided I wasn't going to spend time on Twitter. The pessimism, the rage, the backhanded jabs, it was contagious. I felt myself going there only to complain or make really stupid jokes and I didn't like how I felt scrolling through my news feed so I deleted the app off my phone and decided to only check it once or twice a week.
Best decision I ever made.
But a few days ago, I jumped on to check on things and saw a tweet and a retweet that I want to talk about. It said "Training is not the test. The race is the test." And I find it disappointing that people in the community again fail to see that yes, for some people race day IS the test. But for the vast majority of the running community, everything is a test.
