I believe that if people simply respected each other enough to TRULY listen to each other, that the world would be a MUCH better place. 
It doesn't happen on the news, it doesn't happen in Parliament, or in Congress....those folks are all just arguing...NOT discussing, and look where that gets us!  Arguing doesn't accomplish much outside of a courtroom...  But, LISTENING does. 
Listen to learn. 
Be humble enough to keep learning.
