Fraser Tolmie, Member of Parliament for Moose Jaw–Lake Centre–Lanigan and the Conservative Party's newly appointed Shadow Minister of Veterans Affairs. Fraser brings a unique blend of military, municipal, and federal leadership to the role. Before entering politics, he served as an officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force, where he was part of Canada's military pilot training program, and he holds a degree in War Studies, Strategic Thought, and Conflict Resolution from King's College London.
Prior to his election to Parliament in 2021, Fraser served as Mayor of Moose Jaw from 2016 to 2021, after previously serving on city council. In Ottawa, he's been a member of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs, where he's focused on improving services, benefits, and support for Canada's veterans and their families. His recent appointment as Shadow Minister of Veterans Affairs reflects that ongoing commitment to those who have served our country.
Today, we'll discuss the challenges facing Canada's veterans, the future of Veterans Affairs, national defence, and the issues shaping Canadian politics
