In early childhood, Breanna became used to the presence of 'The Hat Man' - an increasingly-reported shadow-being.

Recognisable as a tall, dark figure wearing a hat, and sometimes a cape or trench coat the Hat Man is often said to be without any distinguishable facial features and like 'The Dark Man', people describe him as "blacker than black."
