Dr. Becca Stearns works at the Korey Stringer Institute and heads up the TUFSS program (Team Up for Sports Safety) and does work all across the country to engage stakeholders to focus on sports safety. In this episode we talk about what the TUFSS project is and how it got started. We discuss what they do in their advocacy work and how many states they have been to so far and look forward to getting to in the future.
We also discuss that the timing of their upcoming/recent trip to California and working with huge supporters to help get the word out that there can be safe sports with meaningful changes in policy and procedure. We also discuss how the timing lines up with California’s push for licensure and getting key stakeholders to support ATs in their pursuit of requiring a license.
So much to take away from this episode and it left us In continued awe of the work they do at KSI.
