Matthew McClean is if anything, a chilled out individual. A chilled out individual playing amateur golf at an incredibly elite level. Having been pipped to the post a couple of times this year, namely at the North of Ireland Championship (by Hugh Foley), Matthew gained sweet revenge at a tournament that wasn’t even on his schedule at the start of the year! Whilst working most of the year and representing his golf club, province and country around the world playing golf on various teams, Matthew McClean won the US Mid-Am Championship at Erin Hills last month and I caught up with him just after he landed, literally!
