A Deadly American Marriage is a Netflix documentary which investigates the 2015 death of Irishman Jason Corbett, who was bludgeoned to death with a baseball bat and a concrete brick while he slept in his North Carolina home. His wife, Molly Martens, and her father, former FBI agent Thomas Martens, were convicted of second-degree murder but later had their convictions overturned in 2023. They accepted a plea deal for voluntary manslaughter and were released from prison in 2024.
