Gwen Shamblin, subject of HBO's The Way Down, was a tiny woman with huge hair full of secrets. She started as a weight loss guru with her Christian diet program, The Weigh Down Workshop and skyrocketed to success with her book The Weigh Down Diet. Both focus on "praying the pounds away”! As Gwen gained more power and her hair grew taller, she started to get that God complex thing going on, and of course, stuff gets abusive and MAGA weird (easter egg!).
