We talk with Alexander McKween about Haven, the night for trans men and their loved ones. The monthly night by and for trans guys has its regular home at UBQ on Smith street and has expanded to a new warehouse party at Rubix Warehouse.

We chat with Alex about creating spaces for trans masc folk to get expressive, party in an environment tailored to supporting them, and how events can be more inclusive and supportive. We discuss some pitfalls of dating and cruising cis men – and what it takes to not be a dickhead online and when cruising trans dudes.

This episode was recorded on the lands of the Yalukut Weelam clan of the Boon Wurrung peoples. We pay our respects to their elders, past, present and emerging, and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded.
