The 2023 National Sports Collectors Convention could go down as one of the largest ever for the 43 year old event, if not largest in some time.
Taking nearly all the bottom floor of the Donald E. Stephen’s Convention Center in Rosemont Illinois, this 5 day event is drawing large crowds from all over. All kinds of cards and collectibles were up for sale or purchase. Card shops, card manufacturers, breakers, graders, sports figures, and content creators kept the mood as high as the temperature was getting on the show floors.
Although a shorter stay than I originally planned, I was able to talk with Mike Sommer of the Wax Pack Hero podcast as well as Andy Broome of CGC cards, Sal Barry of the PuckJunk.com and Topps artist Josh Trout.
By no means an extensive dive into all of what this show had to offer, I hope it gives you an idea of the size and scope and maybe entice you to see the show next year.
