Irish ppl weren't slaves, they where indentured servant's. After there servitude was completed (by 5-7 yrs) they got reparations and land right after.

After Abraham Lincoln sign the 1863 "Emancipation Proclamation" the government paid slave owners reparations. They paid $300 for each slave. This help the white elite class more so then the white poor class.
