As you will hear in this episode, I was beyond enthused to be joined by my HERO, the brilliantly insightful Fitz, aka FitnessFeelingz (re-christening the homies is a part of my mandate FYI). There are no less than probably 100 topics I could pester Fitz with questions about, but his recent shift into researching 19th and 20th century occultists such as H.P. Blavatksy and Aleister Crowley certainly piqued my interest. Fitz has been piercing through the veil of the Cryptocracy’s deeper spiritual desires and instincts.
The materials Fitz gathers, alongside the work of legendary esoteric scholars like James Shelby Downward and Michael A Hoffman, reveal the darkside of the 20th century fever dream to those who know which clues to look for (and when)—but do such pursuits and hobbies actually serve a darker agenda? The one and only MyFitnessFeelings goes for a ride with your old pal Poolhouse along the Backklash superhighway, as we cross the abyss into the outer reaches of twilight on this mind-bending episode.

Poolhouse’s Show Notes:
James Shelby Downward
Notoriously brilliant. The OG schizo. The Grand Architect of the Unhinged Threshold to the Abyss.
His “mystical toponomy” involves analyzing events through names and symbols in order to uncover occult meanings.
This was my introduction to Downard, from Apocalypse Culture (Feral House, 1990):
Great intro to Mr. Downward:
Michael A Hoffman, a historian and researcher, was a student of Downward. Together, they collaborated on the underground paper known as King Kill-33, which analyzes the mystical toponomy behind the JFK assassination.
Hoffman explores the concept of The Revelation of the Method, or the slow and systematic disclosure of occult secrets by the ruling elite, which he calls The Cryptocracy.
Essential viewing for all neophytes:
From Twilight Language (Independent History and Research, 2021), on the genesis of their cosmogony:
Downard, again in Apocalypse Culture:
From Hoffman’s seminal work, Secret Societies and Psychological Warfare (Independent History and Research, 2001):
additional resources
Notes on Helena P. Blavatsky / H.P. Blavatsky / Theosophical Society
Aleister Crowley / Golden Dawn / OTO
Critique and Crisis: Enlightenment and the Pathogenesis of Modern Society / By Reinhart Koselleck With Thomas McCarthy
Kenneth Grant bibliography (occultist and historian)
Jack Whiteside Parsons (Rocket scientist and master occultist)
Killing of the King is identified by Downard & Hoffman as the rite which was fulfilled thru the JFK assassination. This video explores the notions of ceremonial magic by elites, and it may help you to consider about the concepts Fitz and I discussed in a new way:
Additional theme: Lime, “Angel Eyes” (Dub Mix)
