EP 18: Data Binders and your ELLs

Listen Later

There is so much data thrown at us as teachers. There are instances when we as teachers can feel as if we are doing an assessment a week.

One struggle is presenting this data to our students, so they can break it down to hone in on their strengths and areas of growth.

I have never been a big fan of data walls. I have ever been a fanatic of tracking my own personal growth. I noticed how beneficial it was for students to track their growth and their data about three years ago. This school year I went full force and having the students track their data students to log daily goals they reflect on their assignments and at the beginning of the year we sit down and review their language assessment data. I am going to give you some quick tips and strategies on how you can have your English language learners track their data in your classroom.
