Anti-racism activist, author, and scholar Tim Wise is the guest on this week's edition of The Chauncey DeVega Show. Tim Wise is the author of numerous books including his most recent Under the Affluence: Shaming the Poor, Praising the Rich and Sacrificing the Future of America. On this week's show, Tim and Chauncey discuss Donald Trump's obsessions with "white genocide" in South Africa, the true meaning of "White Identity Politics" and its relationship to Whiteness, if racists and other bigots should be shamed in public via social media such as Twitter and Facebook, and white racial paranoia about the so-called "browning of America".   During this week's podcast Chauncey reviews, how again, another white supremacist--this time one who is associated with some of the country and world's most prominent neo Nazis--has been discovered writing public policy in Trump's White House.

Chauncey also shares a story about the real power of love--in this case a 99-year-old man who walks 6 miles every day to see his wife in the hospital. And during this week's Labor Day episode of The Chauncey DeVega Show our intrepid host is also very excited to go see Maceo Parker perform at the Chicago Jazz Festival.
