Mel is the founder of Rural Women's Exercise, an online exercise service for women in rural areas. She offers live workouts and quick 30-minute sessions to accommodate busy schedules. Melissa emphasises the importance of pelvic floor health and provides education on peri-menopause and menopause, topics that are often overlooked. Her business has grown from 30-40 women to over 100, and she has achieved financial independence through her work.
Mel also experienced pelvic floor dysfunction and struggled to find the necessary education and resources to heal. Melissa emphasises the importance of having access to women's health physiotherapists in rural areas and the need for pre- and postnatal education and support.
She highlights the physical demands of rural life and the impact it has on women's bodies. Melissa's mission is to raise awareness and provide support for rural women's health.
Mel's goal is to bring women's health professionals, such as pelvic health physiotherapists, to rural communities to provide essential care and support.
