Is control an idol in your life? Do you put your need for control above building your relationship with God? 

When our minds spin with our relentless need for control and compulsive planning, it's hard to stay grounded and take time to talk and listen to God for direction. When we are so preoccupied with controlling things in our lives, we unknowingly make this need and drive for control an idol in our lives which leaves us feeling burned out and overwhelmed. 

It's hard to admit, but sometimes it's hard to allow God to comfort us and experience His rest when our need for control and "doing" is so strong.  

We all have a loving Father who wants to make Himself known to each and every one of us….Who wants to wrap us in His love and His presence and give us the confidence and peace that only comes from Him.
