In this WVU football episode, Couz is joined by former West Virginia Mountaineer running back, Eugene Napoleon. The two will discuss what makes the WVU vs. Penn State matchup a true rivalry and why it’s so important for both programs. They will also discuss the state of the Mountaineer football program and how WVU can pull out a win against the Nittany Lions. Eugene Napoleon played running back for Coach Don Nehlen’s West Virginia teams in the late 1980s. He was part of the undefeated Mountaineer team that played Notre Dame for a National Championship after the 1988 season. Eugene joins Couz to chat about the upcoming matchup between WVU and 7th ranked Penn State. The game will take place on September 2, 2023 inside Beaver Stadium in State College, PA; the home of the Nittany Lions, who are coached by James Franklin. PSU leads the all-time series between the two schools by a 48-9-2 margin, with the last meeting taking place in 1992. Can the Mountaineers go into Happy Valley and pull off the major upset?
