  In today’s episode, we present the argument that 1Tim. 5:8 is commonly taken out of context and misapplied to lazy husbands. The truth of the matter is that Paul is speaking to the men who refuse to take care of widows and refuse to support them. We discuss the qualifications for widows receiving help from the church, and we also go over the dangers younger widows face in “waxing wanton against Christ.” When you abandon earlier commitments, it always leads to condemnation and the possibility that you may cast your faith away.
