We study through what it means for the peace of God to rule in our hearts, and at our need of being thankful. Paul told us to let the word of Christ to dwell in us, and then he spoke of how we need to admonish one another. We are to do this in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, so we discuss what this might include. We finish up in v. 17 where Paul said that whatever we do, we need to do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus. Today, we dig into how Paul declared that in Christ, there is neither Greek nor Jew, bond nor free. Since we have put off so many things by coming to Christ, Paul encourages us to put on better things. He gives us wonderful instruction for how to live, and how we are to treat one another. Despite putting on mercy, kindness, and many other things, he entreats us to put on charity above all these things.

Today, we look into the description Paul gives of sinners living to their flesh, serving themselves. Because mankind lives this way, the wrath of God is imminent to come upon them. He points out that all of us lived that way at one time, but we have now put off many things. We had to put off the old man to put these things off. The only way we could put off the old man, is by putting on the Lord Jesus Christ. We have been renewed in the image of the One who created us! Today, we embark on a journey through Colossians 3, and we look at several things. We are to set our affections on things above, not on things here on this earth. We are dead to the world, and our lives are hidden with Christ. Christ is our life, and we will appear with Him in glory. Because of all these things, we are to mortify the members of our bodies, which means to put to death. There are quite a few things Paul said we must put to death, and we take a little time discussing all of them. In our Q&A segment, we were asked this question: How did the Jews end up killing Jesus? It seems like they were so meticulous in keeping the Law.

Today, we discuss several interesting things, and among them was a huge paradox. Paul says that we are dead with Christ, but then he goes on to say that we are risen with Christ. We go over several of the difficult sayings within these verses, and we try to bring a little clarity to certain issues. The apostle told us to seek those things which are above, and we feel that this is still good for all of us today. Today, we discuss what Paul meant when he told us not to allow anyone to judge us in meat, drink, holy day, new moon, or even the sabbath. He said these things are only a shadow of what is to come, but he pointed us to Christ through these shadows. He then condemned the teachings of the false leaders who had arisen, and once again pointed us to Jesus, who he called our Head. Today, we tap into some wonderful things that we feel should bless your soul! We talk about how Jesus blotted out all of the ordinances that were against us, and how He nailed them to His cross. He also spoiled principalities and powers, and He did this in such a way, He made a show of them openly. Paul said Jesus triumphed in all of this, so we had a good discussion concerning what this means for us today. In our Q&A segment, we were asked this question: A co-worker of mine told me that the Bible was not written in order, and she says this is proof the Bible is not a truly God-given book… I am very disturbed about this, because I looked into this, and it is not in order… why is this?
