Hershall, we have a change up for you this week. We decided to allow Brooks (Gen Z Boy) to host an episode to give all of our listeners a taste of what happens over on our premium content show called Pod'N Z. We had a guest on here via the telephone that shared many things with us. He's no stranger to Pod'N Me, Mr. Josh Smith! We talked about some hard hitting topics such as Jack-A-Lopes, Memorial Highways and even delved (big word) into some childhood fears. Hersh, right out of the gate (proverbial comparative saying about racehorses) we talked about how our time is held hostage and boy di it ever get serious. We followed that with feedback and heard from some of our listeners about how we're doing with this trash-cast. We ended the program today with our beloved song leader bringing the red-back hymn book in for a random challenge of guessing the lyrics. It is the more sanctimonious version of Name That Tune except with the same level of competitiveness. All in all, it was a good day and as always, we are glad for all who choose to listen... Enjoy!

I told of a near danger experience I had on our annual Men's Camp Trip which the boys tried their best not to let me tell all that happen as it happened. Hershall, we are on the final day of our pastoral series with Rev. Jon Brock, Rev. Davin Burnett and Rev. Jon Isaacs. I am fully convinced that this is the most important conversation I have ever had on this podcast. I hope that many people will listen and hopefully gain some insight on how to handle this sensitive topic of besetting sin. Hersh, we're back again for day two of our Pastoral Series. Today we talked about the significance of Sunday School and how challenged we feel to allow that practice to become a time where we look into the Word of God. We acknowledged  some weaknesses in our own ministries when we view teaching as unnecessary. We also talked about another often neglected part of our worship experiences and that is the sacraments of the Lord's Supper and Baptism in water. Hershall, for this week we decided to do something completely different. That is have a series (you know how pastors love series') of episodes on Pastoral Ministry. Being that it is Pastor Appreciation Month, I wanted to have some conversations hopefully giving a glimpse of some of the things that we grapple with in pastoral ministry. I have three men that have been guests previously on Pod'N Me together in Studio 18 to discuss the topics at hand. Hershall, I trust that all is well with you... I hope we can hear from you soon but at least you're getting to hear from us. Today you will hear a bunch of valuable information (as always) such as: my huge apology, what it's like when the Deacon using his favorite service leading voice. We had some traveling talk where I revealed how I recently turned into a full blown mechanic and also noticed a very peculiar (big word) sight of an airplane in the sky (sort of)... We also talked about how much a recent message ministered to our deacon and song leader both so much that they took great efforts to change their lives! (Talk about revival, Hersh) That led to a discussion about how we should all live in the moment. So, when you get done listening to this, turn your earbuds off and go live in some moments. Hershall, check your voicemail... we had to leave you a message when you failed to take our call. we had some big news to share about our great success. Before all of that happened though, we talked about the gift of grace. It got so serious that we couldn't even feel worthy to use the normal feedback sound. We explored some different topics like whether we are supposed to lick our fingers after chip consumption. I shared some recent feedback that caused me to feel very conflicted. in the end we had some wedding advice in which we discussed the revision of song lyrics and how long it should take to say goodnight... (hint: NOT 45 mins) but it almost took us 45 minutes to end this episode because the deacon got plum carried away... Enjoy!

Hershall, we have a substitute sitting in the Deacon's chair, but that doesn't mean that we are going to have a sub-par (big word for not as good) experience. The beloved Deacon is out this week on vacation and we had a wonderful time with the twin to our Songleader, Bro. Brett Cottrell. He has been a guest here before but it has been a while. We talked about the care of Puppet (Deacon Dustin's fur baby) whilst the Wakleys are on vacation. It was complete with advice during our joke segment on pet care. Brooks gave a wonderful story of Puppet's possible contraction of a condition known as Concrete Paw. We had some wonderful feedback and did a Whatcha Listenin' To segment that turned into a serious conversation in the end.
