Hershall, this is the most devastating day... We had a chance to redeem ourselves in the Christmas Name that Tune segment and we all failed except for one and that was Deacon Dustin, the man who can't pronounce poetry.... Before all that happened though, we had a very solid selection of a holiday gift guide for the ladies, I delivered the greatest Christmas Joke of all time, and other things happened that slip my mind as we type... (or I type) We finished strong with our final installation of the year of the Chip Voice Segment where our Songleader, Bro Brad, gave a wonderful song. We also found our that another infrequent, formerly frequent, contributor to Pod'N Me is actually a mermaid... Enjoy!

Hersh, the folks are going to feel valued after today. We spent time giving advice to the ladies on what to buy their men for Christmas. Most of the items we discussed were given a green light by the men in Studio 18. We also ate a fruitcake on air and were persuasive enough to get the Emma-fluencer and Loretta to chaw (big word for chew in the past tense) on some of the festive cake. In the end the Chips had a disastrous day discussing an overweight aunt of theirs named Vaxine or Vaccine for short.... Enjoy!

Hershall, it was so good to have you here for the first installment of the Christmas 2024 episodes. We found out some stuff here today, per usual. But, one of the greatest things we found out was that our Deacon used to wear a wig. We reviewed a very helpful Christmas gift guide because it is our intentions to help with our audience in their endeavors to shop for their significant friends and family. Hershall, it's something to think that we are midway to mostly thru the month of November. As you surely remember, this is the month of my nativity (a biblical way to say birth). The boys never forget that and so I acknowledged that today. We talked about a recent invitation to be the M. C. (abbreviation for Master of Ceremonies- side note- why is it possible/acceptable to spell this word as it sounds? See title) at a Gala (big word for fundraiser) for Macy's Cradle, a nonprofit that my big sister started. We talked about some recent vehicle trouble that I have been experiencing and that led to the testimony of Gen Z boy where he tells about being capable of doing his own vehicle maintenance (#proudofmyson). We ended with a Whatcha Listenin' To segment followed by a heart-felt tribute to a close friend and supporter of Pod'N Me. Enjoy!

Hersh, right out of the gate (proverbial comparative saying about racehorses) we talked about how our time is held hostage and boy di it ever get serious. We followed that with feedback and heard from some of our listeners about how we're doing with this trash-cast. We ended the program today with our beloved song leader bringing the red-back hymn book in for a random challenge of guessing the lyrics. It is the more sanctimonious version of Name That Tune except with the same level of competitiveness. All in all, it was a good day and as always, we are glad for all who choose to listen... Enjoy!

I told of a near danger experience I had on our annual Men's Camp Trip which the boys tried their best not to let me tell all that happen as it happened. Hershall, we are on the final day of our pastoral series with Rev. Jon Brock, Rev. Davin Burnett and Rev. Jon Isaacs. I am fully convinced that this is the most important conversation I have ever had on this podcast. I hope that many people will listen and hopefully gain some insight on how to handle this sensitive topic of besetting sin. Hersh, we're back again for day two of our Pastoral Series. Today we talked about the significance of Sunday School and how challenged we feel to allow that practice to become a time where we look into the Word of God. We acknowledged  some weaknesses in our own ministries when we view teaching as unnecessary. We also talked about another often neglected part of our worship experiences and that is the sacraments of the Lord's Supper and Baptism in water. Pastors Jon Brock, Davin Burnett, and Jon Isaacs offered some helpful insights on all of the subjects. please come back tomorrow for possibly the most important discussion in this series.
