Calling all romantics, dreamers, and fools–this episode is just for YOU!
What does it mean to search for yourself? What does it mean to belong to something? Do we often think we are searching for one of those things, when in fact we are actually looking for the other?
In this episode, Poolhouse introduces you to Chris, esoteric bro, absurdist poster, and enigma. Chris is a former internet anon who went by InTheConcepts.
Chris and Poolhouse first interacted when Poolhouse was operating under one of his many aliases after he had posted something about Green Day. Chris, a consummate punk fan, reached out, and a brief and bizarre friendship began (and was eventually transferred to one of Poolhouse’s more notorious accounts).
Chris’s archive has vanished from the web, but while he was active, Chris’s out of context style of non-sequitur posting absolutely captured Pool’s imagination. Without knowing a thing about Conceptual Chris, he understood intrinsically that this young man was a fellow rider of the mythical orange vibeshift.
Just before he deactivated for good, Pool was able to connect with Chris to arrange this conversation–and WHAT a convo it is. In classic backklash style, our host and guest cover everything and nothing. Whether discussing the compulsive need to notate ones life, to the deep-seated yearning of the soul to know itself, and w, this episode crackles and pop with insightful observations and sparkling wit.Chris even delivers a lovely soliloquy on the rewarding quest for oneself that actually left Poolhouse speechless.
