Searching for Treasure Excerpt:

“Here, look at this.” Max said as he handed Mia a piece of colored paper folded in half with a big number 1 on the outside. “This is your first clue in the treasure hunt!” Max explained. “That’s why it’s numbered one. Unfold the paper and read the clue, and that will tell you where to find the next clue!”

“Ok!” Mia exclaimed. She was very excited to do a treasure hunt but also a little nervous about having to read the clues. She was just learning how to read and wasn’t sure how to sound out all the words yet.
