Tommy gets right into sharing how he came to write the book, and some immediate benefits to Hold’em and Omaha players that follow his guidelines for a happier, less stressful, more profitable poker game. They discuss the potential downsides of playing fewer hands and Tommy makes an argument that a lot of those downsides are really upsides in disguise. They talk about Omaha specifically, and how it’s a difficult game to make preflop charts for, but how Waiting For Straighters as a philosophy can make a big difference in playing Omaha hands - with a few caveats and exceptions for paired or Ace hands.
