This week, Jim Reid leads the RecPoker RECing Crew through Part 2 of a conversation with RECing Crew member Mark Zhang about how we can exploit the poorly-constructed ranges of our opponents. While battling it out against each other in the nightly home game, the panel discusses the importance of visualizing your entire range to find the counter-intuitive combos of hands you’ll need to continue with on earlier streets in order to be balanced by the end of the hand - and how you can punish the folks you are playing against that don’t! This is more advanced than many of our podcast episodes, so you might want to listen twice and take some notes!

This week Jim Reid and the RecPoker RECing Crew welcome back poker player, commentator and host Veronica Brill! Veronica unfortunately had a front-row seat to the terrible situation with Nick Vertucci at Hustler Casino Live and she shares her perspective on how events there unfolded over time, culminating in the public scandal that has broken out over the last few weeks. Veronica, who made a name for herself in the poker community by being at the forefront of the Mike Postle cheating scandal several years ago, shares her perspective on how the HCL situation came about, the warning signs she wishes she had paid more attention to along the way, how the public has reacted to her role, some advice she would share to other folks in the poker industry, how her life as a public figure has been affected by the vitriol and anger of some people in the poker industry since that time, and a lot more.
The panel also discusses various problems and solutions available to the poker world as a whole, and Jim gets a little, um…hot under the collar…talking about how we as a community deserve to ask better of ourselves and each other when it comes to making the poker world a better, more comfortable place - and maybe even a place with fewer assholes in it.
We also play Stake/Study Stack with Shaun Deeb, David Tuchman and Faraz Jaka and we Close The Action with our speed round!
