Gratitude is one of my favorite emotions--it just feels so good!
But I've noticed a pattern.
Sometimes, as doctors' wives, we use gratitude as a way to punish ourselves.
Saying things like, "I know I should be grateful that my husband has a job at all, but it's just so hard to put the kids to bed on my own night after night."
The crazy thing about that thought is that it doesn't actually generate gratitude at all.
Listen to this week's podcast to learn how to stop punishing yourself with gratitude.
