The journey to becoming a mother is as unique as a snowflake and today I have the privilege of sharing with you Sarah's pregnancy and birth story. 

Sarah walks us through her 9 months of pregnancy and what it feels like when you don't have the 'glowy, healthy, fabulous' feeling most women talk about as well as the thoughts, planning, and events of her beautiful and inspiring home birth. 

We both discuss our experience of "Matrescence"—coined by the anthropologist Dana Raphael—it is defined as the process of becoming a mother; used to describe the physical, psychological, and emotional changes people go through during the monumental transformation that is motherhood.

Our conversation shifts into a raw, open, and honest take on the struggles and triumphs of motherhood especially during a time of such isolation.

 Joy, sadness, and education delicately dance throughout this episode.
