I first became aware of young comic Jared Goldstein when (back in the dark ages of the lockdown) he and I were both on the same bill of a zoom comedy show. Not sure if you know, but they really sucked ass. However, he had a really good set, and I was like, “Who’s this guy?” Fast forward a year, and he’s just been named one of Vulture’s “21 Comics You Should and Will Know.” I knew he was funny, but what I didn’t know is that he’s a former child actor. We talked rejection, being bitter or not, online action, and plenty more. Really dug having him on, not only because he was funny and a great guy, but because I think we really annoyed his roommate.
