Whitlock stresses the importance of truth, rejecting censorship and settled narratives. Also, Shemeka Michelle joins the show to discuss Don Lemon criticizing black MAGA supporters. Don Lemon doesn’t understand the average black person and thinks racism is worse today, even though race and diversity weren’t big concerns in the past. Whitlock and Shemeka also contend that narratives about the past are often dishonest and emphasize the need for uncomfortable conversations about American history, particularly regarding slavery and lynching, to combat a victimhood mindset among black Americans.
