Sybil Cicada lets her friend Simon Cicada know that his singing is just a little bit too loud.
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:17
Singing Cicada Excerpt:
Sybil Cicada awoke to sunlight warming the bark of the tree she was sleeping on. She yawned and stretched her legs. Sybil had only come up out of the ground yesterday. Before that, she had spent many years sleeping beneath the earth. This sunlight was going to take some getting used to, Sybil thought to herself.
Sybil sighed happily. Yesterday had been the most exciting day of the little cicada’s whole life. She had emerged from the cozy ground, molted her tight exoskeleton, learned to fly, and made a brand-new friend – another cicada named Simon.
