There have been many times when we have come across a story of a brutal killer, or a case where a persons acts seem so evil that we have questioned were they born this way? Or was it perhaps something that stemmed back to their childhood that had moulded them into a monster…?
Never has it been such a compelling or fitting question as it will be when we delve deep into today’s case .
Because when young school girl 12 year old Ashley Pond disappeared en route to her bus stop in Oregon City in 2002, the locals eventually realised a dangerous child abductor must be hiding in their midst.
Then two months later when Ashleys school friend 13 year old Miranda Gaddis also vanished from the bus stop the shocking case was huge in the media, and yet the nationwide search for them continued to hit a dead end.
However when it is finally revealed what tragic fate they had met, & who the predator was that was responsible for taking their lives people were not that surprised when they learnt the kind of family lineage he had come from .
Because their brutal killer Ward Weaver III had a father who was not only a cold blooded killer himself, but also strongly suspected to be a serial killer.
And unbelievably the boy Ward Weaver III had raised as his own son would also later became a killer too . Three generations of evil .
So in today’s case we take a look at how the two innocent young girls had their lives cruelly stolen from them by a dangerous sexual predator, & we look closely at the age old question…..
Was it nature that had led their killer to commit those cruel acts, or was it infact nurture?
