Moving to New York during the early 2000s, Shonting skated around downtown New York and met everyone in the skate scene organically; initially shooting skate-photography for regional magazines. Hanging around Max Fish & speaking with other artists helped expand his work into other areas, leading to shooting high-fashion, actors and artists. He now lives and works out of Sweden.
